How it all started...
Well, it all started with Christ. Profoundly and dynamically. But perhaps best explained as a dream and mission that has been handed down through the ages, from the pages of Scripture...the thing we call the Holy Bible. To be an agent, an emissary, an ambassador if you will, for Christ. He called me, saved me, and set me a part a long time ago in an old mans study, where the words of Romans were read aloud to me to great effect...."for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus". My response was swift and sure, and filled with awe. And here we are. Some 30 odd ministry years later, still pursuing Him, trying to make His heart proud of me, trying to share with others the "Amazing Grace" that was shared with me all those years ago. To pass that on to as many as God will allow.

Expanding the vision...
Planting churches and creating faith communities are why we, Gods people, are here on earth. A church can look like you would expect, with walls, doors and seats...but it can also look like a backyard filled with friends and neighbors enjoying some expertly Traegered ribs and a cold beer. Whatever the environment, we are to be salt and light to the world. We are to preach the Gospel and make Disciples. We will use every means to accomplish that mandate from our Lord.
If you hear us say the "4 E's" it means this:
Engage-Our communities, neighbors and culture for the sake of Christ.
Enfold-To receive and embrace every person, regardless of station or position, as someone God dearly loves.
Enlarge-Be a catalyst for the realization of Gods plan and purpose for each individual through discipling, mentoring, friending and encouraging those around you.
Employ- To launch and cheer on each person into significant, meaningful, and fulfilling lives of worship and service. Loving Deeply and Living Passionately for Him.
At Northlake Church we believe that someone can Belong before they Believe, and at the point of belief in Christ they begin to Become the fullness of what He intended for each individual.

Where we are headed...
Just because we are just getting started doesn't mean we don't have a handle on where we are headed. We intend to put down roots in our own space as quickly as possible. We have our eyes on a couple existing spaces...with one in particular on 12th. We intend to grow forward...which means we will purpose to remain at a vibrant, reproducing, and sustainable number, and purposefully divide to maintain that ethos. No bloated mega model for us!
